CMB has won the Port of Antwerp Sustainability Award

CMB has won the Port of Antwerp Sustainability Award. With this award the organisers of the contest wish to highlight sustainable initiatives undertaken by port users and stimulate sustainable economic practices.

CMB received the award for their hydrogen powered passenger vessel, Hydroville.

The Hydroville is a showcase for the use of clean fuels, contributes to sustainable commuting and is a first step towards the development of larger scale hydrogen applications.

In addition to the jury’s scoring, the televoting public chose the Hydroville as the winning initiative. The jury said that with this promising and future-orientated project CMB is to be seen as a role-model.

“We are delighted and proud to have won the Port of Antwerp Sustainability Award. This innovative initiative will break down barriers and act as a catalyst to other market players and have a positive impact on Antwerp’s image abroad”, says Alexander Saverys CEO of CMB.
